River Valley University has named Kevin Marshall as the new head coach of the Panthers baseball team.
Marshall joins River Valley after seven seasons at Western Plains University, where he worked as the recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, and infield coach. As a player, Marshall attended Western Plains and served as a two-time team captain. He also played on the 2009 team that reached the National College Series.
“I feel deeply honored and thankful for the chance to lead the Panthers baseball program,” Marshall said. “This team has a rich history, impressive facilities, strong support, and a clear drive to compete at the highest level. My family and I look forward to joining the River Valley community.”
Before his time at Western Plains, Marshall coached at East State College and Lakeside College. He becomes just the sixth head coach in the history of the Panthers baseball program.
