The Coastal City Mariners are set to take control of their broadcast operations with the launch of MarinersMedia, a new multimedia platform that will become the club’s official local television home beginning with the 2026 season.

The announcement, made Tuesday, follows the Mariners’ decision earlier this year to terminate their agreement with Pinnacle View Sports Network, the parent company of Downtown Sports Group. The move had left many fans uncertain about how they would watch games moving forward.

MarinersMedia will produce over 140 regular season games each year, in addition to pre- and post-game coverage. “This initiative brings the crucial connection to our fanbase—our television broadcast—back under the stewardship of our own organization,” said Mariners President and CEO Michael Hartley. “Generations of Mariners supporters grew up watching games on networks owned by the club. With MarinersMedia, we aim to present Mariners baseball in dynamic, innovative ways and expand our storytelling across all platforms.”

For fans in Coastal City and throughout the Mid-Atlantic, the primary question has been how they will be able to tune in. The Mariners have announced that fans across the club’s six-state region will have multiple blackout-free viewing options:

Cable and Satellite: MarinersMedia will be distributed directly to cable, satellite, and streaming providers through a direct-to-distributor model. Channel information and availability will be shared as distribution agreements are finalized. Mariners on Beacon (over-the-air): Select regular season games will be broadcast for free over-the-air as part of an ongoing partnership with Beacon Media, allowing simulcasts across Beacon’s network of stations in Coastal City and the broader Mid-Atlantic. The complete over-the-air schedule will be released prior to Opening Day. Streaming: MarinersMedia will also be available through MLB’s streaming service, Mariners.TV. Subscribers will receive access to all regular season, non-nationally exclusive games without blackouts. An out-of-market package will be available for fans interested in watching every MLB team. The partnership with Beacon Media will also extend to spring training, with 15 exhibition games—including four this week—airing across 26 Mid-Atlantic markets. This is a larger slate than last season, when Beacon simulcast 15 regular season games, reaching 15 million households in six states.

The Mariners will open the 2026 MLB season at home against the River City Monarchs on March 27 at Harbor Field.

The club will continue to appear on nationally televised games through MLB’s exclusive broadcast partners.

Coastal City is one of nine clubs to end its relationship with Pinnacle View Sports Network, alongside the Great Lakes Guardians, Motor City Panthers, River City Monarchs, Pacific Angels, Sunrise Marlins, Brew City Brewers, Gateway Cardinals, and Gulf Coast Rays.
