The Capital City Film Festival returns this month with a week-long series of film screenings, panel talks, and special events, ending with a black-tie awards gala, organizers announced during a press briefing.
Main activities will take place at Magnolia State College, while the gala is set for the Heritage Museums downtown.
This year, the festival spotlights independent filmmakers and marks the 50th anniversary of the classic film Ringside. Organizers revealed the complete schedule, theme, and new partnerships at the briefing.
The festival runs July 26–31 at Magnolia State College and the Heritage Museums.
Magnolia State College President Dr. Karen Ellis addressed the press in her first public appearance since stepping into the role. Ellis said events like the film festival align with the college’s mission to support the arts.
Tickets and the full schedule are posted on the festival’s official website.
