John Davis
1942-2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Davis, a proud veteran who served his country with honor and distinction. John passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of courage, patriotism, and sacrifice.

John was born on September 17, 1942, in a small town in Kentucky. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18 and served his country for over 20 years, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. John served in several conflicts, including the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and was awarded numerous medals for his bravery and service.

After retiring from the military, John settled in a small town in Indiana, where he became an active member of his community. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he was loved and respected by all who knew him. John was known for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

John was also a dedicated volunteer, giving his time and energy to several organizations that supported veterans and their families. He was passionate about helping his fellow veterans and was always willing to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

John will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his legacy of service and sacrifice will live on. A memorial service will be held on May 6, 2023, at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post, where John was an active member. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans' charity in John's name, to honor his commitment to his fellow veterans.
