Ace Frehley, the renowned guitarist and former KISS member, was forced to cancel his scheduled performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California, on Friday, September 26, after suffering a minor fall in his studio. The incident resulted in a hospital visit, but Frehley is reportedly doing well.

The news was shared on Facebook by Frehley’s tour manager, John Ostrosky, also known as John Ostronomy. “Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time,” the post read.

As a result, Frehley was unable to appear at the Antelope Valley Fair. Fans were encouraged to support his fellow performers, Quiet Riot and Vixen, at the event. The statement also noted that Frehley looks forward to resuming his tour and completing work on his upcoming album, ‘Origins Vol. 3.’

Ostrosky later clarified a mistake made in the original announcement, correcting the album title from ‘Origins Vol. 4’ to ‘Origins Vol. 3.’

Representatives for Frehley declined to comment further on the incident.

Last month, Frehley, 74, spoke to Guitar World about turning down an invitation to join his former KISS bandmates at the upcoming Kiss Kruise: Land-locked in Vegas event, set for November at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Frehley stated, “They asked me and I declined. There’s no way I’m gonna be involved with that, you know? Their biggest mistake is that they should have done that at Madison Square Garden, not in Las Vegas in a 5,000-seater, or whatever it is.” He added that he is “having too much fun doing my own thing” and expressed hope of being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in the future.

Frehley’s next scheduled performance is set for October 10 at the Lincoln Square Theater in Decatur, Illinois.
