The Gulf City Guardians are set to make history by hosting a 2026 regular-season game in Paris, according to an official team announcement.

The matchup will take place at the Grand Stade, a prominent stadium situated in the Montclair district just outside the French capital. This event will mark the first time a regular-season National Football League (NFL) game is played in France.

The Guardians have been designated as the “home” team for the Paris contest.

“We are honored to participate in the inaugural regular-season NFL game in France,” said Guardians Owner Patricia Duval. “This is a unique opportunity, not only because of the enduring cultural connection between our region and France, but also because we have an enthusiastic and growing Guardians fan base in Paris. To offset the loss of a home game in Gulf City, season ticket prices will be reduced by 10 percent. Fans who have already paid in full will receive a credit and refund. Additionally, season ticket holders will have priority presale access to a lottery for tickets to the Paris event.”

According to French sports outlet Le Quotidien Sportif, the Guardians are scheduled to face the Lakeview Panthers on October 25.

This game not only underscores the NFL’s international expansion but also celebrates the deep historical ties between Gulf City’s region and France, which date back to the 17th century.

The NFL has previously staged games in London, Germany, and Mexico, but this will be the organization’s first regular-season appearance in France. The Guardians last played overseas in 2022, when they faced the Northshore Voyagers in London.

Newly appointed head coach Marcus Lane will lead the Guardians in this landmark matchup.
