Oakridge Summit Breaks Ground on Luxury Living and Signals New Era for Community

SHARE NOW

A $50 million luxury apartment complex has broken ground in Oakridge, with city officials calling it the beginning of a new era for the community.

The Oakridge Summit will rise on Pineview Drive, near the Lowe’s store off Route 22. Developers plan to offer amenities such as pickleball courts, a resort-style pool, a yoga studio, a sauna, and a cold plunge. The project targets young professionals looking for high-end living options in the area.

Mayor David Carter described the project as the result of deliberate planning and investment over the past decade.

“This shows where Oakridge is headed. We’ve focused on serving our community, and now people outside our borders are taking notice,” Carter said. “I hear from folks across central Valley County who say it’s Oakridge’s moment to shine.”

Estimates suggest Oakridge Summit will bring in about $400,000 each year in property tax revenue. Construction could finish within two years.

What impact do you think this type of development will have on your neighborhood? Will rising investments like this change the way people view smaller cities?
